Longhorn Shofar

Postcard []: Das Schofarblasen am Neujahrsfest. le-shanah tovah. Hertzliche Glückwünsche (The Shofar blow on the New Year. Happy New Year. Heartfelt congratulations) (Frankfurt, Germany, postmarked 1902)
No, this isn't made from the horn of a longhorn steer, which would not be acceptable as a shofar. Were there, are there, sheep horns so long? Or is this a case of artistic license to exaggerate? Note how the horn's shape is repeated in arms of chandelier.
